Miss Conduct and Martin are bunking with us (though he heads back across the pond on Wednesday). We've been having wholesome good fun, which has surprised her a bit. She's a little bit more rock'n'roll than I am, apparently. LOL

Yesterday, Hazmat and her boy came over and we played Cranium. Tonight, we made homemade pretzels and I smoked some pork loins. Delicious! A great way to balance out the editing.

And the editing continues... Getting ready to hand in a GG shoot starring Georgia and Arienette. We shot at my friend's loft in Downtown LA. The models are best friends, and they were flown out here together. The weird thing is that they had gotten in a fist fight the day before we worked together. That's some kind of best friendship!

I try to check the GodsGirls site every day. Keep up with updates and the forum and stuff. Yesterday's update included one of my favorite sets. Those shoots are generally 8 sets per day. Sometimes, it's hard to keep the shoots original. One of the best things about shooting for GG, though, is that they're open to different ideas. This one was born out of my love of old black and white photo booths. And Scar was the perfect model for this. She's so free and fun and moves so well. I just set up the camera in front of her and clicked the shutter every 3 seconds. I fixed the focus so that as she moved, she'd sometimes be too close and the image would be blurry, just like one of those booths. I wouldn't do art prints from this set, but we had a lot of fun and that made it memorable.

I've got my office plastered with 4x6 prints of some of my favorite photos. As I edit at my computer, I print out my favorites on Post-It picture paper and slap them up where I can see them. It's been one of the best things I've done in here because the images provide me with constant inspiration. Not all shoot/models are the same and when I'm slogging through hundreds of photos I wouldn't have taken of my own accord (I'm trying to think of the kindest way to say this. LOL) there's nothing better than looking up from the monitor and seeing photographs that I actually love. It makes me feel like, "Oh yeah! That's why I do this!" Ha ha.

So, today I looked up and saw one of my shots of Erica Campbell. She was Playboy's Special Edition Model of the Year for 2005 and she had hired me to shoot her for her website. On a Post-It print above me was my favorite shot of the day, so I decided to add it as a new print for sale on my Deviant Art account.

Got a nice little surprise today. Tony Mitchell made a post about me on his new blog. It was really a nice surprise. Plus, the added bonus of this photo of me and Darenzia. How could that not make my day??? The timing is perfect, too, because she arrives back in LA tomorrow morning and I get to fondle her on my couch for the next week! Life is good...

Haven't been posting much because I've been busily trying to catch up on editing. Latest and greatest was eight sets of Gods Girls photos of my beautiful pal, mandy, and a new model named Swindle.

This particular GG shoot was unique in that the entire crew was kinky (that'd be me, Pia doing makeup, and Miss Conduct assisting). I usually bring wardrobe to GG shoots to augment the mostly casual clothing that the models provide. This time I brought along some of my latex as well. At the beginning of the day, Swindle had snatched the ballet shoes out of the bin and who am I to stand in the way of a young woman's love of the finer things? We set them aside and I promised her that she'd get to wear them.

For GG, we do eight sets per day. I like to save the best for last, something to look forward to, so latex was number eight. What's funny and oh-so telling was that after I gave each model her outfit for the shoot (Swindle got the black and red Polymorphe hood, Mandy my favorite black and white HW hood, both girls in simple garter belts from Syren) they went off to get changed while we were cleaning up, setting up lights, etc. When Mandy walked back in, Pia exclaimed, "NICE!" in this total leering dirty old man way. Miss Conduct and I cracked up laughing while at the same time totally perving out over her. To this day, we still walk up behind Pia and growl "NICE" in her ear. The thing is, none of my team has ever been so affected at a GG shoot. True testament to our utterly pervy natures. I turned to look at them and thought... "You are my people." LOL

And then, I forget that everyone's not like us. I've posted photos of models in latex hoods on some not entirely fetish photo sites and people have left comments like, "Cool but troubling...". It's so funny to hear the reactions of the vanilla world because I'm so mired in the fetish scene, it just doesn't usually occur to me that people would see it as anything but supremely sexy.
